Save a Life with Naloxone || My House

First and foremost, we have to be prepared to save a life before recovery can happen. MYHouse of Mat-Su is providing a community opportunity to build Naloxone Kits to be prepared if needed to save a precious life.

That life could be someone’s child, or a parent with a family.  Alaskans are known to pull individuals out of the ditch, jump start a vehicle or now reviving another Alaskan back to life.

This community event will take place April 15, at 5:00pm at MYHouse.

 ( 300 N. Willow St., Wasilla, @ 907-373-HELP or 4357 )

I want to thank Project Hope in providing all the items to be included in the kits. In addition, the Alaska Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, along with Alaska Mental Health Board members will be joining us that evening. This will launch a two day visit with these two boards hosting their business meetings and a full agenda with panels, along with a ‘Youth Panel’ @ 10 a.m. @ Mat-Su Resort. ( April 17th )

Then, an opportunity for ‘Public Testimony’ @ 3:45-5:45 p.m. @ Wasilla Library. ( April 17th ) And, there will be lite refreshments after the public testimony and a time to meet and greet board members.

This public testimony will provide the Mat-Su community an opportunity to share their concerns, suggestions and ideas regarding substance use and mental health issues. Please consider posting and forwarding this blog to welcome the ABADA & AMHB boards to Mat-Su and our opportunity to listen, engage and testify to make positive changes to ensure our community members of all ages will be safe, healthy and thriving.

Together we can make a difference.
